Journalist, teacher, adviser and activist Sanjaya Senanayake died peacefully last morning, Wednesday the 21 of May, after a long battle with cancer.

Those who wish to pay their respects can do so at No.54, Shiromani Mw, off Piliyandala Road, Maharagama from today, 22 May onwards.

Cremation will take place at 3.00 pm on the afternoon of Saturday, 24th May 2014 at the Godigamuwa Cemetery
(Dehiwala Road, Maharagama).

Best known for his dexterity behind the camera Sanjaya was an intellectual, of various facets, in his own right. Son of Human Rights activist Sunila Abeysekara, Sanjaya was for many a revered teacher notably in striving for self-governance and perseverance. Despite his passing he will forever be in our thoughts for his kindness and generosity.
