As part of a series of events organized in celebration of International Women’s Day, Women and Media Collective (WMC) organized a photography exhibition featuring Sri Lankan women photographers. The exhibition is an annual event and has been generating positive responses since it started in 2009.
It is a unique event where the work of women engaging in what is still a mainly male dominated profession in Sri Lanka, is exhibited. Through this endeavor WMC will be providing the women photographers, both amateur and professional, a space to display their creative skills to a wider audience.
