This year, we are celebrating two significant events on our calendar, International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, 2021 and Women’s History Month in the month of March 2021 through our online platforms by sharing with you insightful media posts on our blog, website and social media sites.

For the purpose of celebrating women’s day and women’s history month the Women and Media Collective (WMC) has created engaging online content from a feminist and women’s rights perspective, that’s drawn from Sri Lanka’s context.

These media messages will be shared with you throughout the month of March 2021, focusing on the areas of increasing women’s political representation, recognising Unpaid Care Work, Migrant workers rights, women’s leadership, online hate speech, and LGBTIQ rights.
