The Country Profile on Universal Access to Sexual and Reproductive Rights identifies that Sri Lanka has broad policies and legislation in place that cover most women\u2019s health, family health and reproductive health concerns. It discusses some key domestic policies and legislation in place to ensure the implementation of international conventions and domestic goals locally. It briefly looks at policies on sexual and reproductive health including that of adolescents, HIV and AIDS, gender-based violence, sexual orientation, gender identities as well as grievance redress mechanisms. While highlighting some gaps and shortfalls it also makes recommendations on areas where legislative and policy reform is needed and on resource allocation, data gathering and information sharing that is much needed.<\/p>\n
