We are pleased to invite you to a Memorial Lecture to commemorate our Founder, Human Rights Defender and Feminist Activist, Sunila Abeysekera. It has been 8 years since her passing. Each year we come together to remember her life and her immense contribution to the feminist movement. This year, amidst a global pandemic, we are honoured to have Dr. Radhika Coomaraswamy, former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and former United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women, to talk about “Sunila and the origins of the international violence against women movement”.
