WMC is saddened by the loss of children’s book writer and illustrator Sybil Wettasinghe. We have had many special memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

Sybil Wettasinghe illustrated our messages that popularized the Beijing Platform for Action along with cartoons for the 16 days of activism. Her work has always been remarkable throughout WMC’s struggle in advancing women’s rights and equality.
