• Livelihood disbursement to tsunami affected women, particularly vulnerable groups such as widows. Funding was channeled through selected women’s organizations with a record of working in these areas.
• Training of Trainers program- ‘Promoting the Rights of Women’- across six districts, Ampara, Batticaloa, Galle, Hambantota, Matara and Trincomalee, which focused on community workers who worked directly with women and girls affected by the tsunami.
• Lobbying and advocacy through the release of CATAW briefing papers, media statements and participation in meetings, symposiums and conferences.
