International Women’s Day 2007 was celebrated by over 1,000 women from 40 women’s organizations belonging to the network Sri Lanka Women for Peace and Democracy. Annual Women’s National Convention 2006

The Annual National Convention for Women Activists 2006 was held in January 2007. Thirty one women activists from a number of districts includingKandy, Nuwara Eliya, Moneragala, Puttalam, Kegalle, Gampaha, Kurunegala, andColomboparticipated.
