The Galle district level observation meeting was held on the 22nd of September, 2020. It was to discuss the recommendation made through observing the Local Councils of the 5 Pradeshiya Sabhas namely Bope Poddala PS, Galle mahanagara Sabha, Akmeemana PS, Baddegama PS and Hikkaduwa PS.

The recommendations of the observations were made to the Governor of the Southern Province Dr. W.W. Gamage and the Deputy Commissioner, K.U. Chandralal, along with Kanchana Mapalagama of the Women’s Development Co-operative societies, Sryani Pathirage, Rural Women’s Front and Viola Perera of Women and Media Collective.

This meeting was organized by Women and Media Collectives partner organization the Rural Women’s Front from Galle.
